Marae trip for LIL students
A group of 27 LIL students and 4 staff, along with 15 students from other schools in Auckland, had a fantastic weekend learning about Maori culture while staying on a Marae outside Whangarei. As well as sleeping on matresses on the marae floor, they learned flax weaving, the haka, woodcarving and how to make poi.
Boat party on the Auckland Harbour
Sixty five students and four staff enjoyed our recent boat party. Prizes were given to the best dancer and the best hat of the night. The students danced the night away as they cruised around the Auckland Harbour gaining spectacular night views of Auckland city.

82 students and 5 teachers spent three hours cruising the Auckland harbour and partying hard last Thursday night. Prizes were awarded for best and worst hat and best dancer. What a night !!
