Languages International organises activities and events with the aims of allowing students to get to know other students and teachers, practise English in different settings and get to know more of Auckland and its surrounding regions.

Our Social Programme offers:

Weekday activities

These are activities and events that take place from Monday to Friday, after our classes have finished. They normally happen in or quite close to the school and are free or have a minimal cost. Our teachers or other staff usually accompany these activities. For example…

  • climb a volcano such as Mt. Eden to see fantastic views of Auckland
  • explore trendy second-hand shops on Karangahape Road
  • look around the gardens and native bush in the Auckland Domain
  • join a creative painting workshop led by one of our teachers
  • try some craft beer at a central-city brewery
  • play table tennis and table football in our Student Lounge
  • enjoy a free barbecue lunch in Albert Park
  • visit a café for coffee and cake

Here is a sample Social Programme timetable and also check out our Facebook page for regular photos and reports of our weekday Social Programme activities.
